Church Planting in the South Pacific
South Pacific Christian Fellowship is working to bring healthy, Biblical, real-life Christianity to the nations of the South Pacific. According to a BBC report, Religion may become ‘extinct’ in Australia & New Zealand. The study found a steady rise in those claiming no religious affiliation and the indications were that religion was headed toward extinction.
But we believe that this trend can be changed through establishing vibrant new churches that present the Gospel in relevant ways. Our Purpose is:
~ To promote the establishment of biblically sound, culturally relevant, independent, new churches in the nations of the South Pacific.
~ To assist in leadership development through consultation, teaching and assistance in formal training when necessary.
~ To encourage cooperation between the churches to raise awareness of the need for local churches to assist in the establishment of new churches.
~ To provide assistance to existing churches through the recruitment of temporary or long-term ministerial help where possible.
Randy and Miki Brooks are church planters who have worked in New Zealand for more than 10 years. They have three boys, Noel, Ethan and Caleb.
The Brooks have helped plant new churches and restore existing churches across New Zealand. Randy is now the Director of Overseas Mission, for South Pacific Christian Fellowship (SPCF). He works to organize church plants, mentor and coach church planters and recruit new church planters for both New Zealand and Australia. Miki also leads worship, women’s and children’s ministries, along women’s Bible Studies and retreats.
